Working On Movie Layout

First off I want to tell you how I would like to end this film.I have thought on an ending for a while and came up with this.
Fritz Martin Von-Stempler is the highest officer (maybe Hauptmann) and has been in charge of this group.After he witnesses the horrible end of his men he is left alive.The creature being who looks like a distorted air effect settles on each soldier killing them but when it settles on Von-Stempler it leaves him alive but crazy.
Von-Stempler is sitting on the ground leaning against a tree.He will start muttering and screaming in the Elder HPL Language.He is screaming about Cthulu,Hastur,Shub-Niggurath,etc and does this for around 30 seconds.
Then you hear a branch break sound and Von-Stempler looks up to see:
(new camera view) the barrel of a gun pointing at him and a partisan behind the gun.He shoots the gun (which is almost pointed at the camera view) and then the screen goes black.
now it is time for the end credits as that is my ending of the film.
So in the end Von-Stempler's doom was not death but madness which lead to his death.

Now onto some more structure to this film...........................
NOTE:WHEN WE DO HAVE BATTLE SCENES WE SHOULD ALSO INCLUDE SOME DIALOGUE/POV's FROM PARTISAN SIDE TOO.

1.The film opens with a POV of running thru the woods.You hear small arms fire in the background and the casmera pans and you now see that others are running with you.The Germans are retreating thru forest and as they run a few men are shot and die right off adding to the thrill of escaping and living.This type of scene could take up 5 - 15 minutes of the film

2.next up they have to stop and make a camp for the night.sentries are posted.men eat what they can.sometime in the night a death occurs and they discover strange wounds.
The wounds are facial/neck and not like a gunshot or knife wound.....................

3.next day they are back at it going thru deep forest.they come across some dead partisans and these dead men all have the same wound as the german soldier from the night before.
as they go thru the woods a few times we need to make an effect that enables men to "SEE SOMETHING at the corner of their eyes.

4.at this point maybe von-stempler will have a "flashback" and this flashback will explain a lot about him and his family.

5.the men setup camp again for a night and once again a man is found dead in the morning.the sentries hear nothing which adds to the mystery.

6.we need a partisan battle today during the march thru the woods.so we make a small battle with deaths on both sides.

7.men bed down for the night and once again a death occurs and we also go to the partisan camp and we see that they are also losing people in an unexplained way.

8.Von-Stempler has a weird Lovecraftian "DREAM".In it he is the high priest or is at a weird ceremony to the Elder Gods and to their doorways being opened and their rising up to take this world over.

9.more running thru the woods and a fight again.i might add that we will need some men to get wounded in these little skirmishes.so some men are being helped by others with their "wounds"

10.little by little the men will be seeing a strange movement that is there and gone quickly.this is the "creature" effect.this creature effect i am thinking of will be easy to do and won't need any elaborate work that would mean money no oneof us has.still a good effect is a good effect and it won't matter if it is not a cool costume, model, or CGI.

One thing you find in a lot of HPL tales is his talk of "other spaces" & dimensions & doorways to other places.SO THAT IS WHAT I WILL DO.....I will make an effect that looks like an "Other Space" and it will sttle right on some one who will then die and be left with strange facial/neck wounds.

11.men setup camp for night and von-stempler will have his final dream scene.in this one he sees his father arguing with a shadowy figure about some "covenant" and his father is saying no to whatever the shadowy being is saying.the shadowy being says a price shall be payed and then it goes black and he wakes up.

12.now they go back thru the woods and even we go to the end and the final "horror"

There are my ideas in a nutshell.This film should have 40 - 70 minutes length in it.When this film is finished I will freely give this away thru my website as well as fully allow filesharing and posting on youtube even.I refuse to make any profit on this film as I am doing this just to do a project.More so I want to show that we do not need Hollywood for filmmaking/distribution.We can make a film,meet like folks on the Internet, and use the net for promotions.I have personally not met any of you nor you me but together just by using a computer it brings folks together to do projects.I hope that this does get made and set onto the Internet.That is it for today
